Meet the Team
MITCH TEPLITSKY Founder • Director
I'm a documentary filmmaker and marketing expert, specializing in stories about inspiring Peruvian women (life takes unexpected twists). I also speak and consult with filmmakers on outreach, distribution and fundraising. I was the first-ever marketing director at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.. I can teach you to how to dance Andean huaynos and mix pisco sours.
I'm finishing Soy Andina-II: The Return, the follow-up to my first film Soy Andina, for release in 2017.....and producing two other films: Nowhere to Fall (Dir: Palu Abadia), about the Afro-Colombian tradition known as Bullerengue, and an extended version of Bronx Llaqtamanta (Dir: Doris Loayza), about Kichwa radio in the Bronx.
In between the Andina movies, I made “New American Girls," a web series about three "Dreamers" for Latino Public Broadcasting, and returned to Peru as a Fulbright Specialist to work on a multimedia project about Andean culture..
.I didn't go to film school. I studied marketing at the U. of Pennsylvania Wharton School.. How I got into making documentaries in Peru....well that's a whole other story.
